Read And Laugh.

Suddenly remembered this when I had insomnia. And I thought it was very funny. It was a conversation with my parents in the car on a Saturday night. And this was how it started....

Dad: "So you want the camera lens? About $400+ right?"

Me:"Yep."

Dad: "Ok I buy for you. Maybe in Singapore or Taiwan k?"

Dad: "So later we go and check out the model and stuffs?"

Me: "Eh no need la. I know what I want. Just ask my friend the model can already."

Dad: "Ok so later we shop for other stuffs. See, Daddy so nice. Whatever you want, I will buy for you."

-Mum half-laughed, half-snorted.

Mum: "Eh yours only $400+, I'm gonna buy her $4,000+ plus stuff."

- I BURST out laughing!

Me: "Eh Daddy, Mummy challenging you leh. You wanna up the stakes? How about another zero? $40,000?"

Dad: ".......... Hmm, your Mummy rich la. I'm poor. Never mind, I let her win."

Me: "HAHAHAHA"

Funny shit I tell you. Too bad my Dad didn't take up the offer. Haha. But whatever it is, they are both the champions in my life!

I Try

This happens when pride is your priority.
Everything has a price to pay.
You gain some, you lose some.
But if it's worth the price,
It's worth the fight.
Your pride may be intact,
But you may lose something worth much more.
Don't wait till it's too late.
Learn, Learn fast.
Don't repeat your mistake.
It will hurt.
It will hurt bad.

"I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost ....
I am helpless.
It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend that I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in this same place.
But, it isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in ... it's a habit ... but, my eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it

I walk down another street."

How do you break away without breaking apart?
Drift drift drift, with every step.

Dreams

Anatole France: "To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe."

Do you have a dream?

Shrilly!

Now, I have a self-defense mechanism against rapists.
So people, please think twice before tail-gating me. Haha.
I'm gonna BLAST your ears off. Beware!

Go Go Go.

In a few months time,
I will be away from home,
Away from my comfort zone,
And away from everything that I've known.

Probably by then,
I would find myself,
Find peace and lastly,
Find my way back home.

I will be gone,
But not for long.
Wait for me,
I will be back.

Everything will be put into perspective.
You'll never know what you've got, till you watch it go.
This road, I've to walk alone.
Even if I'm wrong, I'll be alright. Don't worry.

Ridiculous.

Classical Version
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

Modern Version
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.

BBC, CNN, NDTV show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. The World is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be that this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Arundhati Roy stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house. Amnesty International and Koffi Annan criticize the Government for not upholding the fundamental rights of the grasshopper. The Internet is flooded with online petitions seeking support to the grasshopper.
Opposition MP's stage a walkout. Left parties call for "Bharat Bandh" in West Bengal and Kerala demanding a Judicial Enquiry.

Finally, the Judicial Committee drafts the Prevention of Terrorism Against Grasshoppers Act [POTAGA]", with effect from the beginning of the winter. The ant is fined for failing to comply with POTAGA, and having nothing left to pay his retroactive fines, his home is confiscated by the government and handed over to the grasshopper in a ceremony covered by BBC, CNN and NDTV. Arundhati Roy calls it "a triumph of justice". Koffi Annan invites the grasshopper to address the UN General Assembly.

What is this world coming to?
I detest people who think that the world owes them a living.
